These images trace a point of origin. They are among the first photographs in the archive, and the earliest sign that photography could be more than a casual record, it could be a space for observation and affection.
Captured during a trip shared with a close friend, the pieces carry the lightness of someone looking without the pressure to produce, while hinting at something beginning to unfold. The beach, the sea, and the sky recur like leitmotifs: sometimes open, sometimes closed, sometimes digitally intervened, as in Mirador, where the image fractures and multiplies.

In Corrosión, from La Salina, a reflection emerges on the tension between the ephemeral and the permanent, questioning the boundaries of materiality and reproducibility.
The piece originates as a digital photograph whose first manifestation was ephemeral in nature: printed on vinyl, adhered directly to the wall, and destroyed at the end of the exhibition. The digital file remains intact, open to new editions — a piece that lives between uniqueness and multiplicity.

A visual assemblage that moves between document and fiction, unfolding a fragmented narrative in which each image functions as a measure within a chromatic and geographic progression.
The Midwest is not presented as a fixed place, but as an emotional state: solitary, lovely, mutable. Photography becomes a vehicle to record the moment, and simultaneously blur it, allowing movement, framing, and sequence to activate an affective memory of the landscape.

Architecture of the threshold · Ice knows to melt
Skyframe (Tlingit Theatre) opens the series: the interior view of a Tlingit roof — wood, beams, and a skylight onto a sky of nearly impossible blue. Printed on vinyl and adhered to the wall, the photograph becomes a threshold, both refuge and stage.
Around this central tension, other works orbit and fragment the surrounding landscape. To look upward here is also to remember, to recognize that every support — wood, vinyl, or digital data — is vulnerable to time and to loss.

Across these series, the image functions both as record and as possibility. Landscapes, urban spaces, visible architectures, and invisible structures appear not only as settings, but as fragile surfaces, susceptible to being altered, disintegrated, lost, or reconstructed.
Each photograph is a threshold — an entrance, an exit, or a suspended interval. Whether through vinyl that adheres and detaches, pixels that corrupt, reflections that fade, or archives that threaten to disappear, the work constantly moves between containment and escape.
Rather than offering certainties, these pieces invite us to dwell in the in-between: the space between what is held on to, and what inevitably dissolves.
