Statement
Nothing lasts completely, nothing disappears entirely.
Ria Nova — photographer and filmmaker. Landscapes, thresholds, and the slow corrosion of a coast.

Ria Nova is the artistic name of Daniela Vázquez. The practice moves between photography and moving image — original works, unique prints, and limited editions, often arriving as installations that are later destroyed, leaving only the file behind.
The work is interested in the in-between: salt flats and parking lots, subway stations and tide pools. Landscapes and architectures appear as fragile surfaces, susceptible to being altered, lost, or quietly reconstructed.
Each image is treated as a threshold — an entrance, an exit, or a suspended interval. What endures after loss? What persists in the transitory? The work does not answer; it lingers.
